Arthur “Junie” Beaulieu, 72, the husband of Darlene Burnett Beaulieu, of Union Springs, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, in Upstate Medical Center.
A native of Auburn, Arthur was a West High graduate, class of 1964. After more than 35 years of service, he retired from Owens Illinois as their maintenance manager. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, as well as tending to his garden and playing the guitar for family. As a beekeeper, Arthur collected honey from the bees he kept and always loved acquiring antique glass bottles.
In addition to his wife, Darlene, whom he has known for more than 53 years, he is survived by one son, Charles Beaulieu (Doreen Baier), of Union Springs; daughter, Melissa Baritell (Frank), of Fleming; a brother, Thomas Beaulieu (Carol), of Illinois; two sisters, Michele Beaulieu, of Auburn, and Betty Brechue (Ed), of Auburn; four grandchildren, Laura and Emily Woodman, Tyler Baritell and Charles J. Beaulieu; two great-grandchildren, Juliette and Vivienne Beaulieu; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Arthur and Betty Lamphere Beaulieu, he was predeceased by one son, Arthur Alan Beaulieu Jr.; a brother, James Beaulieu; and sister, Marcia Beaulieu.
Friends are invited to join the family for a service to be offered at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the Cheche Funeral Home Inc., 1778 Clark St. Road, Auburn. Burial in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Union Springs, will take place at a later date. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
