Louis Riccio Jr., 78 formally of Pinckney Road, Auburn died Monday, August 27 in Northwoods Rehab and Nursing Center, Moravia. A native of Auburn, Louis was employed for many years by the Coca-Cola Company of Seneca Falls. For more than 35 years, he donated his time and energy to the Fraternal Order of Eagles #96 of Auburn, where he held many titles. Louis was a member of, and held his affiliation with the Aurelius Volunteer Fire Department since the late 1960’s. He enjoyed camping and was a member of the Jr. Corp. Purple Lancers. Above all, Louis loved and cherished his time spent visiting with relatives and family.
He is survived by his son Louis Riccio III (Nicole) of Auburn; one daughter Penny Gulliver (Harry) of Auburn; one sister Rose Hogan of Auburn; two grandchildren Douglas and David Gulliver; two great grandchildren Dakota Avery and EmmaRae JoAnn Gulliver; and nephew and niece Tim and Cyndi Hogan. In addition to his parents Louis Sr. and Madeline Mazzeo Riccio, Louis is predeceased by his wife Catherine.
Friends are invited to join the family for a Mass of Christian Burial to be offered Thursday, August 30 at 11 am in St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours for Louis will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8pm in the Cheche Funeral Home Inc., 1778 Clark Street Road, Auburn.
