Lucille C. Bennett Naugle, 76, of Ross Street Extension, Auburn, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018, in Crouse Hospital, Syracuse.
A native of Round Lake, N.Y., Lucille was a graduate from SUNY Brockport, earning a master’s degree in education. She retired from Union Springs Central School District after more than 20 years of dedicated service. Her passion was teaching and making a difference in her students’ lives. She was cherished by both students and co-workers, alike. Lucille also enjoyed traveling, taking care of her cats, and tending to her pool.
She is survived by her three daughters, Bonnie Colony (Mike), of Poland, N.Y., Jennifer Bouare and Jessica Nunemaker, both of Rochester; one sister, Bonnie McCann (Dr. Paul), of California; longtime companion, Joseph E. Kapilla, of Syracuse; many grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Joseph and Irene Potwardowski Bennett, she was predeceased by two sons, Marc and Michael Naugle; one daughter, Beth Naugle; and one brother, Dennis Bennett.
Friends are invited to join the family for a service to be conducted at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4, at the Cheche Funeral Home Inc., 1778 Clark St. Road, Auburn. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. prior to the service.
